BetVictor Sportsbook Review

BetVictor has been one of the leading bookmakers in the gambling industry for a number of years now. They used to go under the name of Victor Chandler before a re-brand was made in 2011 to the now, BetVictor.

The company has been able to adapt from the early days of being a high street bookmaker into what can only be described as one of the biggest online bookmakers in the world. This success hasn’t just come down to luck though, as they boast one of the most comprehensive and beautifully designed websites we have come across.

Promotions

BetVictor offer up a generous £25 free bet when you register a new account. Granted this amount won’t compare with some bookmakers in terms of monetary value, but we have found it to be one of the easiest to clear out of a number of high profile online bookmakers.

There is a couple of key point to remember when you are applying for your bonus. First of all, the free bet is equal to the amount that you wager and not deposit! So, if you deposit £100 and your first bet was of £10 you would get a free bet worth £10. Similarly, if you deposit the same £100 and bet the full amount, then your free bet would stand at £25, as this is the maximum amount you can claim.

A qualifying bet must be placed at odds of even money or great and will not include doubles or trebles. That being said, bets including four folds or grater, will account to the free bet. You will get 30 days from opening your account before your free bet expires.

‘All About Darts’

We’ve been big fans of BetVictor for a number of years now and feel as though we know their site as well as any. It’s always interesting to keep an eye out on emerging sports or even emerging markets in already established sports. Over the last 10 years, we would have to say that few sports have exploded onto the scene as much as darts has.

The sport has always been popular and comes from a fairly deep lying link with gambling, which is likely to do with the sports working class roots. As TV exposure has increased, so has the exposure in which betting sites have given the sport; none more so than BetVictor.

The sport is very seasonal on the site, and by this we mean that the range of markets can vary greatly. Big competitions such as the PDC World Championships and the Premier League will see it given as much as exposure as your football and horse racing markets. Off season or even when tournament selections are pretty limited will almost feel as though BetVictor have forgotten the sport exists altogether.

The range of markets is really good, as you would come to expect from BetVictor. Again though, it does depend on the magnitude of the game but don’t be surprised to see over 20 markets on offer for just one match. These range from leg betting, handicap betting, outright winner, match 180’s, nine darters and a few more thrown in for good measure.

One of the latest additions to the BetVictor darts betting section is that they have included a little form guide. To access this you just click on the More Markets button from the Darts menu and you will be greeted with an insight to the head to heads along with how they have been playing. What we really liked is that all the facts, stats and information has been taken from previous outings in that competition, so you can see exactly who’s been playing the better darts. It’s a really excellent feature and a welcomed addition!

Other Markets

You don’t get to be as big a player as BetVictor by offering a shabby number of sports and markets to bet on. They are easily one of the best in the business and their market coverage is something that a lot of bookmakers can only dream of. Their massive range includes the likes of football, tennis and horse racing, before hitting up your smaller sports such as handball, speedway, volleyball and so many more.

One of the biggest reasons we love BetVictor is that their odds are just so competitive. Across the board they will likely be in the top two or three for pretty much all sports and they are definitely a site that you can rest assured that will be getting the best price possible.

Our Verdict of BetVictor

It’s really easy to see why BetVictor has been so successful over the years. Many bookmakers try to be too complicated with what they offer their punters, whereas BetVictor just seem to be that little bit more stripped back, making them so much better for it.

We would bet that darts must be one of their biggest emerging markets over the last few years. This is actually probably true for the majority of bookmakers, but BetVictor really do feel as though they have moved forward as quickly as any.

That being said, there is room for improvement, and the coverage for tours such as the BDO is slim pickings at best. On the whole though, BetVictor will likely be able to provide you with everything you could need for a darts betting home.
